Balochistan: GPS Trackers Made Mandatory in Long-Route Buses, Modern Speed Monitoring System Approved

Quetta (Balochistan News Desk) The Transport Department of Balochistan has decided to install trackers in long-route buses and announced the introduction of a modern monitoring system to help prevent road accidents on highways.

According to the Transport Department, installation of trackers will be made mandatory in all buses operating on National Highways N-25, N-50, N-65, N-70 and N-40.

Sources said that through this system, real-time monitoring of bus speed will be carried out, and alerts will be sent to the control room immediately if any vehicle exceeds the speed limit.

The department clarified that no bus will be issued a route permit without a tracker certificate, while fines and restrictions will be imposed in case of violations.

Officials stated that strict action will be taken against overspeeding and reckless driving to reduce road accidents.

The Transport Department said that this digital monitoring system will help make travel safer and will assist in modernizing the transport system of Balochistan.
