Islamabad (Balochistan News) – Like Pakistan and the rest of the world, Labor Day is being observed today to pay tribute to the services of the working class and to reaffirm commitment to protecting their rights.
On the occasion of May 1, various public and private events, rallies, and seminars are being held across the country, highlighting issues such as workers’ rights, better wages, safe working conditions, and social protection.
On Labor Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in his message that the working class is the backbone of the national economy and their services cannot be ignored.
He said that laborers and skilled workers are not only contributing within the country but are also making Pakistan proud abroad through their hard work and expertise.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed that the government will continue efforts to protect workers’ rights, ensure their welfare, and provide better employment opportunities.
On the other hand, issues such as inflation, unemployment, and low wages remain major challenges for the working class, yet workers continue to perform their daily responsibilities despite these difficulties.
