Iran strongly reacts to US strikes, calls attacks an act of aggression

Tehran (Monitoring Desk) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has strongly rejected US strikes on Iran, terming them an act of aggression.

He challenged the US position, saying that these actions in no way fall under defense or self-defense.

In a statement on social media, Esmaeil Baqaei referred to a document from the US State Department, which stated that the US conducted the operation under collective defense of its ally Israel and its right to self-defense.

The Iranian spokesperson said that such actions are further escalating tensions in the region and constitute a violation of international law.
