Decision to intensify crackdown against unregistered vehicles in Quetta

Quetta (Balochistan News) An important meeting was held in the provincial capital to make action against unregistered vehicles more effective, in which relevant departments agreed to adopt a joint strategy.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Regional Transport Authority Muhammad Ali, Traffic Police officer Salman Tareen, and Excise and Taxation officer Asif Jan Tareen. On the occasion, concern was expressed over the increasing number of unregistered vehicles operating in the city.

According to officials, unregistered vehicles are not only disrupting traffic discipline but also posing a security risk; therefore, comprehensive measures are essential for a permanent solution to this issue.

It was decided in the meeting that the Regional Transport Authority, Traffic Police, and Excise Department will conduct joint operations, while the checking process at various locations in the city will be further tightened and legal action will be taken without discrimination against violators.

Officials made it clear that enforcement of the law will be ensured at all costs and unregistered vehicles will not be allowed on the roads. For this purpose, forming special teams and increasing daily monitoring were also considered.

The meeting also discussed simplifying the registration process for the convenience of citizens so that people can complete the registration of their vehicles in less time.

Officials appealed to the public to ensure timely registration of their vehicles in order to avoid legal action and to help improve the traffic system in the city.
