Education drive gains momentum in Balochistan: 3,700 schools reopened, 100,000 children enrolled

Quetta (Balochistan News Desk) The Government of Balochistan has made significant progress in improving education across the province, reopening more than 3,700 previously closed schools and enrolling nearly 100,000 children.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, accompanied by Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani and other senior officials, highlighted the results of the ongoing enrollment campaign while addressing a ceremony at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

According to officials, the restoration of closed schools is a major step toward reducing the education gap in Balochistan, providing thousands of children with renewed access to education.

The chief minister further stated that more than 12,000 teachers have been recruited purely on merit, which is being seen as a significant move toward transparency compared to past practices.
