Environmental protection is a shared responsibility, says Balochistan Forest Secretary

Quetta (Balochistan News) Secretary Forests and Wildlife Balochistan, Imran Gichki, has said that protecting the environment is not only the government’s responsibility but a shared duty of every citizen, and it requires immediate attention for a better future of coming generations.

Speaking on the occasion of Earth Day, he said that Balochistan’s vast natural landscapes, unique forests, and diverse wildlife are valuable assets and a source of pride, and their protection is essential for all.

He added that public awareness and practical steps are crucial for environmental protection, as government efforts alone are not sufficient to achieve this goal.

The Forest Secretary expressed his commitment that if natural resources are protected today, a safer and better environment can be ensured for future generations.

He also urged the public to pledge on Earth Day to actively play their role in preserving the natural heritage.
