Abu Dhabi (Monitoring Desk) A telephone conversation was held between the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, in which bilateral relations, mutual cooperation, and the promotion of partnerships in various fields were discussed.
During the conversation, emphasis was placed on expanding cooperation in important sectors such as economy, renewable energy, sustainability, technology, and artificial intelligence, which both countries include among their development priorities.
Both leaders expressed their commitment to further strengthening relations between the UAE and Sweden and expanding development partnerships in line with shared interests. It was also agreed that cooperation in various fields would not only improve bilateral relations but also help achieve goals of sustainable development and economic prosperity.
The telephone discussion also covered the current tense situation in the Middle East, including an assessment of its possible impact on regional and international peace and security.
Both sides also discussed the protection of sea routes, energy supply, and the impact on the global economy. On this occasion, it was agreed that this contact is not limited to bilateral relations but is also important in the broader context of regional stability.
The contact comes at a time when concerns regarding global security, trade, energy, and supply chains are increasing, due to which such high-level diplomatic engagements are being given special importance.
