Karachi (Commerce Desk): The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a negative trend on the first day of the business week as cautious investor behavior kept the market under pressure.
During trading, the benchmark 100-index recorded a decline of 191 points, bringing it down to the level of 170,480 points. During the session, the index touched a low of 169,268 points, while also reaching a high of 171,306 points.
It is worth noting that at the close of the previous business week, the 100-index had settled at 170,672 points.
On the other hand, in the interbank market, the US dollar witnessed a slight decrease in value, dropping by one paisa to trade at 278 rupees and 84 paisas.
